linux...umm..video drivers?

    okay just instaled linux on an old machine

    Started using it getting all sorts of crap coming up
    on the screen.

    The card is a TNT2 built in, and on a M754LMR pcchips mobo

    Is there any "drivers" i can download for this or somthing?

    Anything anyone suggests?

    BTW running Mandrake 8.1

    Dont the reference drivers support the TNT2 from nVidia?

    Might want to check NVidia's website for Linux drivers. Just a word of caution. 8.1 is pretty buggy. The current version (9.0, I think) is much better.

    or will i have to pay for a CD to be sent to me?

    You can download it for free or order a CD. The ISO's a full 700 meg download.

    okay..... how do i install new video drivers?

    from what ive seen it seems very complicated, but i just downloaded a .run file from the nvidia website.

    apparently i need to stop XWindow
