You forgot MGlogs.zip from MGtools which we need to get started. However I can tell you that you do have a Zero Access infection.

    Per the instructions given.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win 7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: Freecorder Toolbar - {1392b8d2-5c05-419f-a8f6-b9f15a596612} - C:\Program Files (x86)\Freecorder\prxtbFree.dll
    O2 - BHO: Freecorder - {1392b8d2-5c05-419f-a8f6-b9f15a596612} - C:\Program Files (x86)\Freecorder\prxtbFree.dll
    O3 - Toolbar: Freecorder Toolbar - {1392b8d2-5c05-419f-a8f6-b9f15a596612} - C:\Program Files (x86)\Freecorder\prxtbFree.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PrivitizeVPN] C:\Program Files (x86)\PrivitizeVPN\PrivitizeVPN.exe /autorun

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Uninstall the below software:
    Freecorder Toolbar
    Java 7 Update 17
    PrivitizeVPN

Now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Please download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
    • Run it by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7, or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).
    • Copy the lines from the below codebox to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C
(or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy): Do not include the word Code: which is just a title line of
      the code box

    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar
      ) and choose Paste.
    • Now click the large [IMG] button.
    • If OTM asks to reboot your computer, allow it to do so. The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot.
    • Close OTM.
Now navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder ( assuming your Windows drive is C). This is where your log will be
saved in the form of Date and Time mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Just look for the most recent .log file. Attach
this log file to your next message.

Be patient while doing the below. The fixes can sometimes take quite awhile to run. Especially the permissions repairs. It may be best to kick it off and goto bed or do something else. It is better not to run anything while the repairs are going on.

Download Windows Repair by Tweaking.com and unzip the contents into a newly created folder on your desktop.
    • Now run Repair_Windows.exe by double clicking on it ( if you are running Vista or Win 7, use right click and select Run As Administrator)
    • Now select the Start Repairs tab.
    • The click the Start button.
    • Create a System Restore point if prompted.
    • On the next screen, click the Unselect All button to first deselect all repairs.
    • Now select the following repair options:
      • Reset Registry Permissions
      • Reset File Permissions
      • Register System Files
      • Repair WMI
      • Repair Windows Firewall
      • Remove Policies Set By Infections
      • Repair Winsock & DNS Cache
      • Repair Proxy Settings
      • Repair Windows Updates
      • Set Windows Services To Default Startup
    • Now on the lower right side check the box to Restart/Shutdown System When Finished
    • Then make sure the Restart System radio button is enabled.
    • Shutdown any other programs that you are running now before continuing.
    • Now click the Start button.
    • Be patient while the tool repairs the selected items.
    • It should reboot automatically when finished.

Now please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT may reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting if this happens.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.
Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles log
    • the JRT.TXTlog
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

I followed all the steps below and was not able to uninstall freecorder toolbar and it remains on my installed programs list

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Is it gone now?

Are you have any other malware issues?

THANKS !!! It said it was successfully added to registry. I also have freecorder 5 on the list of programs and it wont allow me to uninstall it. Is this a problem?

Only if you do not want it installed. It is not malware. Not something I would recommend, but not malware. The toolbar was on the verge of being considered malware. But is really more like foistware/junkware. If you want to remove it, the below may do the trick:

    Revo Uninstaller 1.94

After a few days of using my computer, its not functioning very well. Many programs (nero , convextXtodvd, windows media player ) they just hang when I try and start them, or take way too long to start or dont properly start at all. All the while saying "program not responding" . I tried to do a system restore and windows back up wont even open, it just hangs . I dont think there is any space at all allocated for system restore and I dont recall ever changing my setting to 0 space allocated .

I have many external hard drives and when I try and use " search computer " through all hard disc drives, it doesnt yield results . I have to search through 1 external hard drive at a time

Did you ever remove the rest of the Freecorder stuff?
This is not likely due to any remaining malware as your last logs were clean. The only issue I had noticed in your last logs was that the Windows Defender service was broken because the registry entry had been deleted. Let's try a rootkit scan.

Please run the below anti-rootkit tool from Malwarebytes.

Attach the logs from the above scans.

Your first MGtools log attached in message # 4 show that you had no restore points when you first posted. Thus System Restore had probably been turned off. When you attached your next MGtools log in message # 8, you had the below restore points
    Code:
    05/22/2013  11:44 PM        89,194,496 {c44c038a-c1b6-11e2-812c-d027880206a4}{3808876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-04046e6cc752}

    05/23/2013  09:51 AM     1,140,850,688 {6d42bbb4-c375-11e2-bbc0-d027880206a4}{3808876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-04046e6cc752}
This probably got fixed when I had you run Windows Repair.

Does your PC run better if you temporarily disconnect ALL of the external hard disks?
