I got this silly lil Logitec Quickcam Express I pulled outta the closet, I want to get it working again.

Heres the problem everytime I plug it in it sais "Device not recognized" on the taskbar in a winbloze annoying lil popup.....i really hate win xp......

Any suggestions would be appreciated...I have tried this cam on 2 different PC's both running xp sp2 also tried it on one with sp1. It used to work dunno why it does not anymore :(

Its not windows xp's fault or problem for that matter, that quick cam must be made for w95/98, if it isn't, then you need to download the proper drivers for windows xp through logitech, assuming they still support the product.

Well I went to logitech site and got the driver from there for it...maybe it was made for 98? That would make sense I will look around for an xp patch if one exists.

Not too sure if it helps, but usually Logitech requires us to install the driver and then plug the cam in.
I had to do that to install my communicate stx the other day.

Ty for the idea but that did not work, I am also trying Logitech forums on this issue. Note that this is not an isolated problem if you look around google other have it too. Maybe logitech just made ther cams to break so you would buy new ones lol.

I'm not sure if that was sarcastic, but there are plenty of devices that do not have driver support in XP and will not work, including some logitech quick-cams
