Logitech usb headphone connector

    I have a logitech usb dongle thing so I can use my headphone on my Dell laptop. I plug in my headphones but it doesn't work. Do I need some special drivers for that? I have been to the control panel > sounds but the usb connector doesn't show up on the list.
    Would it be better to just buy a set of usb headphones?
