Looking for a quiet efficient power supply

    I need to replace my power supply and I'm looking for something in the 400W range. I'd like something quiet and efficient but it's so hard to get reliable specs. One brand that claims to run very quietly (14dB!) is silenx but I haven't seen numbers for efficiency. Another brand that came out well in a review is made by High Power (highpowersupply.com).

    Anyone have any experience with these brands or other suggestions for a

    The only thing there is that quiet power supplies cause tons of heat FYI.

    How do you feel about using the suggestions from the articles on Tom's Hardware site?
