Looking for best registry cleaner (free/pay)

I hope you don't mind if I borrow this thread

Here is the thing. My computer has been working slow lately, not to mention application errors. Friends recommended me to use registry tool to speed up my Windows.

I've been checking some review sites and forums, and most of them recommend Registry Easy or Perfect Optimizer.

What do you guys say which is the best? I would like tool that is safe to use and won't cause any more damage to my pc.

I prefer free tool, but even paid is ok, as long safe and does its job.

If you're getting errors then a registry cleaner is the last thing you want to run.

What do the errors say?

CCleaner is best IMO but if you got errors maybe you should post them here.

You may also want to look at Paretos "Regcure". (Very good, but you need to pay)

BUT... as evilfantasy states, you should check out what the error's are.
Run a disk check, that's always a good start.
Make a note of any problem's & post a thread in the appropriate forum (here).
