Looking for help with Intellimouse

I have a Microsoft Intellimouse optical.

When i was On windows me the cd loaded software that let me map the 2 extra buttons on the mouse.
but with windows xp, they recomend that i dont use the drivers and such on the cd.

yet I'm not able to map the extra 2 buttons on the mouse with the windows xp.

Is there a place to find updated drivers? or should I installed the stuff on the CD?

Nevermind I found the new Intellipoint software for my mouse its all the way up to 5.0
