that pretty much says it all. I have a website on GoDaddy, and I would like to get some leads on a decent program to scan for malware and bots. Any help would be appreciated.

    Use VirusTotal.
    https://www.virustotal.com/en/

Click URL, copy and paste your website's url, and click Scan it!
After the scan you can click Additional infoformation, scroll down, and click the links next to Quttera and Sucuri. You'll find detailed info on what was scanned.

Eldon is right. VirusTotal is by far the easiest and most effective tool for scanning a website.
