Looking to replace 8600 gt xxx

Hi so i had an 8600 gt from xfx but like 6 of the capacitors had blown and i did not register within the 30 day period for lifetime warranty so i am looking to purchase a new card and need suggestions on a similar card that will last.

os: windows xp home
ram: ddr 1.5gb
processor: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
power supply: Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 500w

 

I would suggest another 8600 GT if you can find one.

Anything more powerful will likely lead to a bottleneck due to your cpu when playing games.

 

well i am trying to stay away from 8600 gt because if you google 8600 gt capcitors you will see why.

 

Possibly a 9600GT?

I would go with a 9800 GT or GTS 250 tho for around the same price

I have a 8600gt in my old pc. 8600gt going 2 years strong.

 

thanks for the suggestion i guess i got unlucky because the board had sacon fz caps
