I have a PC that is looping at bootup, I've seen several threads on this matter, and I've been advised to look at hardware issue. The threads says to run the XP Repair Console, so I borrowed an XP Pro disk (lost my original), but I'm getting stopped at the Admin password, can't remember what I set this as (its been about 3 years), so I was going to try and run Victoria 3.5 to diagnose the HD, but I need to put the files on a bootable CD, so I need to know how to create a bootable CD and be able to add the victoria 3.5 files or a way around my Admin password. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Most systems don't have any password set for the Administrator login.

But; the most coomon cause of the looping boot, these days, is a Trojan and. Aleurion, for one, causes the reboot loop after the latest round of Windows Updates.

Your best way to rescue the system is to connect the drive to a working system as a secondary drive.

If you do that, run the error scan of the free version of http://www.hdtune.com first.
