    Hi all...

I've read all of the stickys and have not been able to stay online long enough to download or run any of the spyware programs. I don't belive this is a spyware problem but can't for the life of me figure out what it is...

My second pc fried my HD... So I bought a new 80gig HD and installed a copy of Windows FD from a friends FTP in the UK. This pc has nothing on it! I can turn it on and leave it on for hours on end as long as I don't open up IE, (I can't even stay online long enough to download Firefox) Basically when I go online I have about 2-5 minutes (it's never the same) then a pop up box with the warning

Then I get a 60 second countdown to restart...

I have erased the HD twice now and re-installed the copy of FD that I have (I lost my original restore cd or I would try that too) Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know if I can install Linux or another (hopefully free) OS and just get rid of the problem? Or is there a way to stop this error. I do have a copy of FXsasser.exe on disk. And nothing! I can't stop scratching my head on this one.... Thanks in advance!

    [IMG] Download HijackThis 1.99.1

[IMG] Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

[IMG] Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the ZIP file as your backups will not be safely stored.

[IMG]Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

[IMG]Run HijackThis and save your log file.

[IMG] Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next post. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post as it will be removed).
