Macromedia Director and 3D Games

Ok, thing is that i have to make a 3D game in M. Director 8.5
ive made all the models and have the code but keep getting the same message when i press one of the arrow keys to move it.
it says: Script error: Object Expected
and then it shows the line of code that tells the character to move x amounts. Now i know that i have the model (which i presume is the Object which its looking for)... just dont know how to change the reference to it... basically i need to change the name of the model i think but dont know how to... any suggestions?
