madden 2004

hi i dont know whats wrong with my game it used to be ok the sounds. the problem is everything works but there is some kind of pause like in every 3 sec its really annoying. i have a realtek ac'97 audio via (R) sound card do i need to update that? or reinstall my game again. and is there any way that i can change my language of my windows xp because its danish windows form, its really hard to manuever around the system. do i need to buy a new windows in english form or is there any downloads that i need to download in order to change this or there is a way to change it somehow?
