Madden shuts dowm laptop after 10 min.

I have a Toshiba Laptop and I loaded Madden 2005 and I can play either the training camps or a game and after 10 to 15 minutes the computer just shuts off. If I try to turn it back on right away it either will turn off again during boot up or go to a black screen asking if I want to start in safe mode. So I bought Madden 2004 thinking maybe my computer couldn't handle 2005 and I'm having the same problem. I can play Halo just fine I don't know if that matters here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My computer meets or exceeds all the requirements, I'm wondering if its a heat issue from being a laptop? The fans are not covered up and there are no intake restrictions. My computer info is below:

Are you using the power adapter that came with it to plug it into the wall? Games tend to kill the battery rather quickly. Heating might be an issue, too, but I'm not exactly sure about that.
If you can play Halo fine, though, without it shutting off...I guess I'm not sure.

 

Yes, I am using the adapter that came with it, and when I restart the computer after only a few minutes the battery is at 60-70% so I don't think the battery is going dead and shuting it down. Thanks
