I have been receiving this email today, a few times coming from different addresses as follows:

Do not reply to this message

    Dear Customer,

Our robot has fixed an abnormal activity from your IP address on sending e-mails.
Probably it is connected with the last epidemic of a worm which does not have patches at the moment.
We recommend you to install a firewall module and it will stop e-mail sending. Otherwise your account will be blocked until you do not eliminate
    malfunction.

Does anyone know what this means and what I need to do. I've looked up some of the websites sending them and they mean nothing to me, not related to my website at all.

Also my website traffic increased from about 150 a day to 3000 a day the last 3 days, most traffic coming from a 'buy targeted traffic' website. I haven't joined this, other people do promote my product so its possible someone else has joined it. So I'm not sure if that's related to these emails or not.

    Can anyone help

Was that the complete email message or was there more? Did something ask you to click on a link or to install anything?

Did you check with your ISP to see if they really sent it. I would expect not unless they have people who don't read and write in English very well. I highlight in bold some parts that are poorly written or that are just plain incorrect.

You could just be getting spammed

Oh, I never thought of that, I don't know why I never thought of that I get every other type of spam under the sun.

I've ran virus scan and spyware scan and they come up ok. I have windows firewall turned on.

I might just go through some of the clean up processes anyway, I was reading in here last night - couldn't hurt

    Thanks

Oh, just to answer your question - that is the complete email, there are no links to download anything - no links at all.

Okay! You should just check with your ISP to be on the safe side to make sure it was not from them but I really doubt it since you said the from address always changed.

It would not hurt you to run the READ ME. In today's malware world antivirus and antispyware programs frequently report things to be okay when they are not. ;)

My good friend Matacumbie was kind enough to point out some links he found related to your email message. Here are the links he found:

So as you can see this is not email from your ISP but rather is an attempt at someone trying to get you infected! It is still a very good idea for to run the full cleaning procedures to be sure that your PC is truly clean.
