Making two bootable drives? (XP & Vista)

So basically this is what i want to do.

I have two SATA drives ones 200gb and the other 80gb and i want to install Windows Vista on the 80gb and leave the 200gb with Windows Xp on it.

Now i just want to know when i install vista on the 80gb drive will i beable to select which one i can boot up??

Is there software i need to install?

Or is this even possible?

I boot from a similar set up.. XP on SATA / Vista on IDE. I get a boot menu on start up that lots me choose between the two.

Since you have XP already installed this will be a snap to install Vista. Only issue with dual booting is you will lose your Vista restore points.

 

For dual booting, my cousin uses PowerQuest Bootmagic. I think that's shareware though. There's also one that comes with Ubuntu Linux called the GRUB bootloader. I'm just not sure if you could make that work with Windows, but I'm sure that there are lots of freeware dual booters too. I've also seen the thing where you select which installation of XP you want to boot and it even comes with it, so maybe you could try to make it work with Vista too.
