Malicious Avi File

Please...I need some experts out there to help me delete this avi file.
I used limewire to download a movie which was a divx avi file and was 727mb in size.
Thing is it doesn't work and doesn't play anything. Whenever I go to the folder with the file in my computer starts running slow then when i click on the file to do something with it my computer really does slow down. A lot of the time programs Im using with this avi file become unresponsive. I tried to delete it but it says its being used by another program or person??
I dont know what to do to get rid of this..thing, its a bottleneck which is doing my head in.
Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.

 

First, reboot into Safe Mode and manually delete the file. If this doesnt work reboot back into normal mode and provide me with the EXACT filename and location and we will get it removed.
