malware hardware???

I have come across a strange problem. I have been trying to clean up a computer for a friend it had LOADS of spyware/adware/trojans and the like. After running all the tools listed in the sticky I still have only one issue when i boot up the computer I get the "new hardware found" icon popping up in the system tray, sometimes it will put 6 or 8 of those icons in there at once, then it results in an error message that "services and controller app has encountered a problem and needs to close" and if I click don't send then I get "nt authority shutdown in 60 seconds" message. If I disable plug and play in the services tab of msconfig then it runs fine. any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks

 

I got it to stay up long enough to get a hjt log
