Malware problem / about.blank - Logs attached

    A couple weeks ago my searches began being redirected - clicking on Google search results resulted in being redirected to a fake shopping site unless it was the home page of the website, then the results were as expected. My husband says he was prompted to scan the PC and I believe it must have been a fake prompt. I also noticed that when launching IE, it loads an about.blank page.

    I performed all the steps in your malware removal guide last night. I am able to search without being redirected, but IE is not loading correclty. The process is listed in task manager, but it does not open. If I launch another session, it will open. Also, I still see that about.blank is still loading.

    My logs are attached. Appreciate any assistance you can offer.

    You need to attach the ComboFix log we requested. We do not need logs from Spybot nor HijackThis. I see your ComboFix log is very large. That is probably because you never uninstalled after the last time you had used it and it probably has some large snapshot files. You will have to ZIP the ComboFix.txt log to attach it.

    Also you need to download and use the version of MGtools that was given in the READ & RUN ME and attach a new log. You are way out of date.
