McAfee virus scan/firewall/spam killer

I just recently made a post of my windows being unable to shutdown. After weeks of trial and error I went to microsoft for updates. McAfee would not let me go to any sites and said it was phishing. After several tries I got mad and uninstalled all McAfee programs. My computer now works like it should have before. I tried to explain all of this to McAfee via internet and phone calls at $2.95 a minute and they seemed not the least little bit interested. So much for a good virus/firewall company. I have since installed another virus & firewall program and do not have these problems. I know this is not the proper place to post this but it is the only other place I could think to put it. Can not use Virus site. Just thought I would see if anyone else has had this problem before.
