Me & websites building/development?

Hi guys! first of all I want to let you know a little about myself, I am a graduated Furniture Designer currently looking for a design internship. I have little knowledge on html coding, by little I mean I can buy a html template from theme forest.net change it a bit and turn it into a live functional website. I have been asked to build two websites for my friends company, of course I did them by buying themes and I got them up running.

I am interested to know whether I can be classed as a website developer, if not what am I? and do I call it website building? development? design? because I am actually quite hooked to doing this kind of things. also my friends are asking me for the price as they insist to pay me for the work, how much should I charge them? how much do people charge for similar job? Thanks guys!
