Media player stopped working after plugging in USB and/or SD Card

    This only occurs if I have a device plugged into a USB port or an SD card in the card reader. Media player gives me a "Windows media player has stopped working" message. WMP works fine if there is nothing in the USB and/or media card reader...

    any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
