Media players for youtube vids

    Okay now i know you've heard of youtube right. well i use firefox and there is an extention that alows you to download said video's. I need to know what kind of media player i need to play them. i use WMP 11 beta, and all i get is the sound like nail on a chalk board and the visulization goes crazy. no other program i have will open them. here is a list of the program i have tried.

    Mozilla firefox/lolifox
    IE
    WMP 11 beta
    Word 2000
    Nero Media player
    Note pad
    Adobe reader
    Power DVD
    Any idea what i need

    www.divx.com might work for ya, i know the codecs there are widely used amongst downloaded media files. also i would use www.winamp.com for a media player hope this helps :|

    YouTube uses "Flash Video" (.flv) format and you pretty much need a player specifically for that. Do a search for FLV Player, that's what I use.
