Memory Optimization/Defragmentation Software?

I recently installed The Ultimate Troubleshooter on my computer. I opened the program up and noticed that a program I have installed was on there and was in red which means "not ok" (which is FreeRAM XP Pro, which I have running 24/7 on my computer). The Ultimate Troubleshooter in its description recommended not using these kinds of programs when running Windows 2000/XP/2003. So, basically my question is: Is this all true about memory optimization programs? Should I remove FreeRAM XP Pro from my computer?

Thanks. That did help a bit but only see opinions, which in all honesty isn't good enough for me =o). Any reply is appreciated though! ;).
