Micromedia flash annoyance

For the past few days every time I leave the computer for 15 minutes or more, when I return there is an Error window saying "Could not find the Micromedia flash"

I haven't been looking for it but evidently some part of my computer badly wants to locate it. How can I get rid of this pesky thing?confused

 

I already have it on my computer. I suppose that I could uninstall and then download again but I was hoping that there was some little setting that just needed correction.
