Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Setup Error 25007

    Windows XP Pro SP3
    I have used the tool to uninstall it but it still will not install. I have been having trouble with .NET updates for a long time. I removed them all and downloaded them again but the updates fail. I need this to
    run a program to check for errors and can't install it.

    Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Setup
    Error 25007. Error occurred while initializing fusion. Setup could not load fusion with LoadLibraryShim(). Error Ox80131700

    deleting policies folder might your problem can be solved !! :wave
