I bought a laptop and received a software disk with it. On the disk is Microsoft Office 2007. There are two files one is a .bin and the other a .cue. I understand that these files work together in order to install the software but have no idea what to do with them or what program I need to use to open them. There is a ton of software on this disk but no instructions on what is needed. Please help. :confused

That software disk carries a very high risk of infecting your PC.

Assuming you have a valid license for that version of Office, try using ImgBurn to create the CD from the bin/cue files. Ensure your Windows version is fully updated, backed up and protected - MSE minimum, before scanning the CD with everything you have.

Hey there, is this legit software.

Ms Office full versions, as far as I know, only ship by itself with maybe something like Frontpage attached or other MS software.

If its dodgey dont do it, many illict software sales come preloaded with other neferious software that most users arent aware of, this can exploit your privacy, sure you save 75 bucks on software but all your personal data like credit cards, online bank details is at risk.

Dont want to be a panick monger, have you heard of what happens to people who are the victims of identity theft, their lives are never easy again, and they are cross examined at every part of their day to day transactions what a B#@$H that would be.

anyway enough waffle, check to see if your auto start for your CD/dvd right click properties, is active this may select the correct file for you automaticaly when the disc is inserted.

I purchased the laptop and it came with the software. the problem was that the laptop was loaded with windows 7 and the RAM of the laptop isn't high enough for that OS so I reloaded Windows XP in the laptop. Now I need to load the Microsoft office programs back into the laptop but because they are in a condensed form instead of the manufacturers disc i have no idea how to do it and I don't have a way to burn the info to another CD.
