Microsoft Word 2010 "winword.exe has stopped working"

Hi, I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, Office Home and Student 2010.

Over the past week, everytime I open a word document, Word stops working after a while. It becomes 'unresponsive', then a pop-up appears at the system tray stating:

"Internet connection was lost. Check your Internet connection to resume downloading Microsoft Office."

The problem only occurs with Word, not with Excel nor with PowerPoint.

Try doing a repair of Office, by doing the following:

Repair your Office programs

1. Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
2. Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.
3. Click Repair > Continue. You might need to restart your computer after the repair is complete.

Thank you very much for your help. I repaired Office as you suggested and restarted the PC. Word is no longer becoming unresponsive!
