Microsoft Word doc when Attached 2 emails gets changed from .doc to .scr?

    Hi,

    This is my problem...
    When I insert a Microsoft Word documents in a email the file type gets changed from .doc to .scr?
    Why is this so?
    I got told to re - run READ & RUN ME, (Re - run becuase a few weeks ago i had a problem with a trojan horse virus)
    But neither

    adware
    SuperAntiSpyware
    Avasti

    are picking up any threat of a virus. So is my problem def a virus?
    If not what else could it be, if you would like me still to re - run READ & RUN ME, please let me know and i would glady do so.

    i am going out of town, so if there is a delayed reply sorry!

    Hi

    Not all the automatic scanners will pickup malware, especially as it maybe very new or have random named .exes, which is why the Read Me has some scans that list file locations that most malware hide in and these scans need a trained eye of an expert in malware removal to review.

    So as Chaslang has mentioned in your other thread to re-run the Read Me and start a new thread in malware with the attached new logs is good advice, due to the malware infection he linked to that does what your describing.
