missing ethernet driver dell inspiron 6000 windows xp

my computer crashed and i had to reinstall Windows XP. when i did that, my ethernet driver was missing. i have looked on the Dell website, but im not sure what i need exactly!

That is the link for the wired ethernet driver. If you need the wifi driver, you'll need to run a system info tool like Unknown Devices or Everest, then attach the reports generated by the programs. That way we can see exactly which drivers you need; the Inspiron 6000 was several configurations and different options for the wifi adapter and we want to be sure to get the right one. While we're at it, you should take a look at your device manager and make sure there's no other question marks ? or exclamation points ! or red Xs.....

Thank you so much! I had the same problem and used another computer to download the driver to a USB, put it in my inspiron, downloaded it and it finally works great!

May seem simple to geeks but not to us commoners.
