missing Lan or high speed Internet connections

    Hello all,

    My computer for some reason has lost the Lan or high speed internet connections list in {network connections} I have a comcast Lan line plugged in but cannot connect to the internet.

    This is a Dell computer running XP Pro

    Sure would like any help I can get.

    Greetings, dromano.

    Have you rebooted the machine lately? How about the modem/router?

    Check your Device Manager - are there any flags?

    Are you running any antivirus/firewall software?
