    hi there
when i start my pc up the mointor doesn't pick up any signal. i've put an old IDE hard drive. The motherboard sounds like it wants to start up as it beeps once then beeps again then just stops, i've checked that its not the monitor or the graphics card and the memory works fine on another computer, is there anyone thats suffered the same issue?
    cheers

2 beeps on boot up indicates either a parity circuit failure or a RAM problem depending on the BIOS

If you've checked the RAM and you are sure that these sticks are the proper ones for the motherboard then it's probably parity circuit failure.

Apparently if you take the RAM out and boot up and you get 3 beeps, that means the motherboard is okay and the RAM is the problem.
