mouse / keyboard probs

After a new mobo installation, as mentioned in a previous thread, my PC will not recognise the logitech wireless keyboard, and also it connects with the mouse but does not allow the sroll wheel function, pls help...
Note it has a wireless receiver in ps/2 sockets, but alternative wired keyboard works thro' its ps/2 socket.

 

Have you installed the drivers? downloaded the latest drivers? Changed the batteries? Updated to the latest SP? Updated the chipset drivers?

Simple suggestions I know, I'm sure you've tried it all but thought I'd put it out there just in case.

Batteries new in both. XP up to date.
I had installed original software which was old (pre XP), just d/l latest, mouse now connected, although it has to be very close to receiver and in line of sight - NOT like this before - HIGHLY ANNOYING!
Keyboard still unrecognised!
Things is I have re-installed XP previously and never had this issue!!!

 

Keyboard suddenly started working, but still have range issue!!
Wanted to edit last post, but can not find that feature?!?!?

 

Mouse & keyboard still not working anywhere near previous range, pls help......

 

Try KB & Mouse on another system see if the same issue pops up. If not uninstall totally the KB & Mouse.. reboot and install per the manual. Check for possible interference sources such as TV remotes, Cell Phones and of course your PC.

But there has been no change for what I have been doing for 5 years, except this recent XP reinstall.
Range is now 12" in sight, was previously ~10' not necessarily in sight - such a dramatic change, and now doesn't do what I require.

 

Tried removal & re-installation with no success.
After previous XP re-installation, after drive format, I did not need the logitech software, why now? Pls help.....
