I just installed a MS Wireless Laser Mouse 5000, and it's causing the boot to hang at the memory test. MB is an MSI K9MM-V, with AMD 4200+ X64, 2GB Kingston DDR2-800, and XP Pro x64. Award BIOS version W7312MVS V1.5 100407, 10.40.37. I have BIOS set not to halt on errors. If I unplug the receiver's USB connector it'll boot just fine, then I can plug it in and everything works as it should. But I doubt that's the way it's supposed to be.

Some computers hang if anything USB is plugged into them. It sounds like yours might fall into that category.
I'm not sure if there is a fix - maybe a setting in the BIOS?

I have a Belkin N52TE gaming controller plugged in and it doesn't give me any trouble. But I'll go through the BIOS settings in more detail, something may jump out at me. Thanks.
