Mouse Safe Mode ???

I would like to knows i do i get my mouse to work in safe mode

I am using windows XP Pro.

Because this morning for first time my computer won't start !!!!!

I did a scanning for virus and ad-adware everything clean.....

I go to the event log error :The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 8007043C from line 44 of d:\nt_qxp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

But after a third reboot everething is back to normal ???

I did see a blue screen for 1/2 a second did not have time to read it
so i change my setting uncheck reboot after failure so next time i will
have time to see what's going on......
