Movie Making, Special Effects, Etc

Hi Guys,

My girlfriend cannot leave her new camera alone, everytime my son smiles, kylies their with the camera, waiting to take that all important photo or video, she got the Koday Easyshare DC40 bundled with Printer dock, and she has been getting really good at utilising Windows Movies Maker, but now she has given up becuase their isn't that much you 'can' do with it, all effects, templates are common and low end, which brings me to my question, are their other programs out their with a free trial period that are like XP Movie Maker, but hopefully much more functional with better effects, templates, etc
