Moving Sony Remote from Desktop to Laptop

    Hi.
    I have a Sony VAIO desktop with a Remote. I want to move this remote to my Sony VAIO laptop. They are both running WinXP. How do I get the software/drivers?

    Note that I am referring to a Remote Control (like a TV remote control). One have with Desktop is a RM-MC1, which goes to the IR until plugged into an USB port.
