I am now trying to install Mozilla Firefox. When installing my firewall pops up and says ? is trying to gain access. I clicked yes to allow and then the firewall pops up again and says Firefox wantd access and I clicked yes. then after Firefox is loaded I get this error:

    Error signature

    ModVer: 5.1.2600.3119
    AppVer: 1.8.2007112718
    Offset: 000012a5b
    Modname: Kernel32.dll

    What is wrong?

Is nothing ever simple? Just attempted to download Firefox from your link and I got the exact same error codes. What now? Don't know if you noticed, in another thread I had difficulty with Opera...now firefox. Help.

Try shutting down your firewall, while installing FF. If you feel unsafe without it, start up Windows Firewall, do the install and if it installs properly, go back to your other firewall.

I disconnect from the internet and shut off both my firewall and my active monitoring antivirus programs when I'm installing.
