MS MEssenger prob -post SP2

Is there any reason that I should not be able to connect to Messenger afeter installing SP2 on my Mom's PC? -I can get into Hotmail, but for some reason I keep getting the foloowing error when trying to log in to Mess: "We were unable to sign you into .NET MEssenger service, possibly because of a problem with the service or with your internet connection. Please make sure you are connected to the internet. 0x81000301. Click Help to check the current service status."
Any ideas?

(PS -I'm leaning towards this being a Messenger problem that will correct itself soon -but I'm not sure.)

 

nothin' 2 do w/ sp2

Messenger was just offline -nothing to do with sp2.
Problem solved.
