MS Office complex right-to-left language issue

So, I'm helping a liguist translate documents from english to Arabic specifically Persian using MS Powerpoint 2007. I am using Microsofts provided complex right to left languages add-in and it works fine except we cannot figure out how to input numbers in Persian. When I switch to Persian, all the letters work fine, just no numbers. When using MS word I can go to word options, advanced, and change the number setting from arabic to context and that will allow the use of persian numbers, but that does not work in powerpoint. I'm in over my head, any ideas?:banghead
