Can anyone tell me if I were to buy the stand alone full Outlook 2007 if it would have any additional features or functions not present in the academic version of Office Suite?
I am starting to be a heavy Outlook user and was wondering about that.

    Hi MT

Need to compare the versions here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX101635841033.aspx

as different ones have differing office applciations, the one that covers all is Ultimate, but thats at a price! if you can get academic version from your school/uni/workplace then look into if they also supply Enterprise version at a cut down price, some do, where I work we have open licence with MSFT for Office and get 2007 Enterprise for roughly $14

    Hi MT

Yeah new avatar, change once i a while, pitty on Office Student as it not come with Outlook I'm afraid and standard version is $150ish more.

Did notice one thing while reviewing the prices again, is that you could get Office Student for $149 and then Outlook 2007 full (downloadable version) for $109 so would be $258 opposed to the full Office Standard version @ $399

Unless you have previous Office and can get the upgrade Standard version for $239

    Prices here

Standalone versions of each Office app

What academic version is it? Academic versions have the same features as regular versions. So, if you can get an academic version of Office Pro 2007, you will have the full-featured Outlook.
