i also uninstalled it and tryed reinstalling but it didnt work

 

is this a new install of win2k? did the sound work and just abruptly stop? is it onboard sound? or a separate pci card? i don't see anything listed for sound, do you have more info from belarc?

you might want to download everest free edition, and get a hardware report, and attach it to your next post (please don't copy and paste the entire text, just attach the file to the post. )

 

did you get the drivers from the asus website?
