Multiple infected .exe files reappearing??

Ok, for starters HJT log is clean, running AVG, Zone alarm, Ad-aware SE, And Spy bot S-D. All updated and run regularly. All of a sudden i noticed 15 or so exe files being detected by AVG all in my Local settings/admin/mydocs/temp folder so i did the usual, boot in safe mode run all, then manually go through my all my run folders etc.. in registry and clean everything up. Well now they are gone soooo i thought, the have reappeared again and i removed them again. So they seem to be gone at this point but i have taken a major hit in bandwith for some reason?? anyone have a clue on this. Im sorry if you need more info let me know. i do think some may have come through soulseek (which would be a first, and ive been using it for a long time) other than that im stumped.

 

Okay, first thing first. I have a few questions, then I'll post a few things.

First, when you did all this, were you still connected to the internet? I.E. Dialup, or disconnect the cable for broadband?

Yes im sure my hijack log is clean, and yes i was disconnected when cleaning. Still seems to be gone but my internet speed is pathetic! I don't know, could be coincidental hard drive failure or maybe just time for a reformat/reinstall seeing as ive never had to do it on this box but it has done some performing since ive had it! thanks for any help
