My screen turns green or pink. HELP!

My Laptop's screen turns green or pink(where it supposed to be white or other colors) from time to time. After i'd run some antivirus and antispyware programs it may go back to normal, but that heppens less and less offten. It may also go back to normal after a restart on the next day.
Is this a virus or other nasty thing or maybe a hardware or screen problem?
I have already run almost any antivirus and antispyware program i could find, including hijackthis, but no luck.

-Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? Etc

I have run everything possible i guess, to no luck. Then i formated my whole computer, but still it remained. must be my screen dead and needs replacement! thanks
