My turn for a perfected security thread

    Okay, i've run my AVG, Spybot, (which no matter how many times i run it, or delete this file, i keep getting "Vcodec" found.) And adaware 6.0 pro. They all found a bunch of shit, but i still have this perfected security one. (and Vcodec)

    I downloaded Mozilla (and i'll probably use that from now on) So, hopefully i dont get it again. OH, i've also used that malware remover thing that was suggested in the read me on here. Here is my hijack this log.... i hope you guys can help me soon. It's really aggrivating.



    One last thing, when i finally get rid of this, how do i disable my system restore, and enable it again? I tried using that too, but no matter what date i select, it wont let me go back.

    I'm not sure exactly what your problem is??? Are you talking about this: http://sunbeltblog.blogspot.com/2005/12/beware-vcodec.html

    If you are having malware problems the proper procedure to follow is what I give below.

    Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis
