My vaio burner HL-DT-ST-DVD-RW-GWA-4082B is a mac device ?

    hello everyone ..... i have an interesting problem ... im trying to update the firmware on my dvd burner ... it's on a sony machine but it seems to be a mac device ...... the model number is HL-DT-ST-DVD-RW-GWA-4082B ..

    all my searches lead me towards mac but i use on my vaio desktop ? ?

    anyhelp would be much appreciated .. thanks in advance ...
