I had MySQL v 3.23 running w/ SP1, and have since downloaded and installed SP2. I just uninstalled MySQL to install v 4.0.2, but the installer won't startup... it won't even show any indication that it's running. Anyone got any idea's? I thought maybe that it was a bad download, so I downloaded again and still the same result.

Forgive me if I did the wrong search but I was searching for help with SP2 and remember seeing SQL -- don't know if it's the same as MySQL:

Probably something similar, as Microsoft has their own version of SQL. MySQL is another database, but is open source I believe. Thanks for looking around though :D

Thanks for the link, but I don't have a database that I need to keep, just wanted to get MySQL installed again so I could work on something else... I think uninstalling in the first place was probably a mistake. As Pegg posted though, Microsoft's SQL has a functionality problem under SP2, it might be similar enough to MySQL to be affected too.
