MyWebSearch & Apoint2k removal - help

    I volunteered to help a friend with a Compaq Presario R3000 - they are absolute computer neophytes and what I found and removed was pretty scary.

    The Majorgeeks sticky on malware removal has been my bible for a while now - but after removing unused tmp and programs (as far as I can tell), running all the recommended malware removal tools and setting up a firewall/virus scan, I now need the heavy guns.

    Can I get someone to review my HijackThis logs and provide any further recommendations? Thanks.

    Sure you can! :)

    If you have followed all of the Read and Run me First

    Then go ahead and post the 4 requested logs. Those being:
    • Superantispyware
    • MalwareBytes Anti Malware
    • Combofix
    • MGlogs.zip

    Hijackthis isn't the only tool we use to decipher your logs, there are others needed, those listed above.
