Need An Editor

Anyone know of an equivalent to Pawsoft's Fass program that will work on SimplyMepis (rpm). Pawsoft only do a tar.gz which wont install and Im using my Linux box more than XP now which means cable swapping and file transferring via pen drive everytime I make a new canned.:cry

 

install open office; it works; it is free; and it is available as a package.

 

Or you can install from source, which is most likely what is contained in the tar file.

First you compile it, then install it.

Typically, it goes like this.

Log into superuser.

In a terminal in the directory created when you decompress the tar file:

./configure
make
make install


Or make your own rpm:
