    Hello,

I had a hijacker installed called "conduit search", I believe I removed it by following the instructions on "exterminate-it.com". I dont get redirected to any webpage but I found that on Internet Explorer it still has it installed as a search provider on the "complements" section on the tools bar.

I'm attaching the picture of the problem, the main thing is that the option to remove is not available. I didn't find this problem on Chrome (which I mainly use).

I followed the instuctions on how to remove a Hijacker but it gave me no infection problems. I also ran MalwareBytes and have Norton Internet Security 2013 and they didnt find anything.

So my question is, how can I remove this, and if having it does something harmfull to my pc?

P.S. My computer is in spanish so I hope I can translate the buttons and things correctly. Let me know if you need more information.

    Thanks in advance.

[IMG] Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    Now please follow these instructions:

Hello, it seems that fixed my issue. Here is the log from the Junkware Removal Tool.

I have also attached the "complements" from Internet Explorer showing that the search option has been removed.

When I opened IE I had a message saying that another program changed the search engines for IE, and that google was restored as the main one. I suppose this is normal, right?

One last question, in the log it says it "splashtop". I think I saw this program when I bought this laptop, is that program a malware? or is it better that I dont have it?

And thanks a lot for the help!
